Description: Dr. Michael J. Chen founded in 1987 the AITech International Corporation with the intentions of becoming a premier developer and manufacturer of Personal Computer (PC) to Television video scan technologies. The company maintained its headquarters since its inception in Sunnyvale, California.

The company’s founder currently sits as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Along with Dr. Chen, other members of the management team include co-founder Jennifer H. Chen (Senior Vice-President), Richard H. Lee (Vice President for Integrated Circuits), and Gregory H. Boe (Vice President for Sales and Marketing for North America).

AITech has currently made its niche in the industry with its continuous efforts for improving its design, development, and marketing processes in relation to their external system peripherals, board-level products, and integrated circuits. VSPro serves as the core and primary technology of the company and is considered as a high speed digital processing product. This technology is implemented in single chip scan converter products manufactured by AITech like in the case of AIT1168 and AIT2138.

The IC architecture, programmable options, and feature sets of this product are specifically designed to host comprehensive single chip system solutions for all variants of PC to TV programs. The product is likewise custom fitted with other pioneering technologies of AITech like color space encoding and digital-to-analog output of NTSC/PAL signals, digital filtering, digital video encoding, and internal compensation for signal deviation.

These innovations made VSPro the most dominant and technologically advanced scan conversion product in the IT market and perhaps the de facto standard for this technology.

FlicFree on the other hand functions as a supplementary filter for the VSPro. This product provides the user with selectable filter settings that are intended to minimize instability and image flickering instances. Normally the instability is caused by the difference between the platform formats of the PC VGA and the TV signal.

The scan conversion products manufactured by AITech have been deployed in different sectors such as OEM product design, business organizations, home based consumers, and educators. The products are marketed via strategic arrangements with major component distributors like D&H, TechData, and Ingram-Micro. AITech resellers, OEM system developers, and VARs are also licensed to distribute AITech products in the computer market.
