The company primarily focused on its expertise in developing and marketing various computer systems that cater to multi-users and small business establishments. At the time of its founding, the company aimed at capitalizing the tremendous growth of the microcomputer industry.

As it slowly made its mark in the IT industry, the company began introducing new products into the market that include VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) products, networking devices, data backup systems, printing accelerator hardware, and tape drives among others. By 1986 the company has attained a credible stature in the computing market allowing it to generate annual sales of $50 million including making its Initial Public Offering during the same year.

In 1990 the company successfully increased its customer base and widened its business coverage that allowed it to server over 150,000 computer users. The company’s clients are predominantly users of systems running on the Disk Operating System (DOS) environment. During the same year the company achieved the status of a popular market brand by becoming part of the elite group of Fortune 500.

The company established its reputation as a major manufacturer of QIC (Quarter Inch Cartridge) format tape drives. It also included into its product portfolio several computer peripherals. Subsequently the company was acquired by an Australian corporation and moved its operation base to Melbourne, Australia. American representation for the company stopped at this point but Alloy remained in the manufacturing industry continuing to focus on Information Technology products.

The move also corresponded to a change in its corporate name which presently stands at Alloy Computer Products Australia Pty Ltd. The company remains an active player in the IT market continuing to offer its products and services including VoIP technical training courses. The company also presents IP68-rated outdoor bridge including VMWare Certified 10Gb adapters coming from Neterion.

The company has also gotten involved in the manufacturing and distribution of communication devices including networking products that cover a wide array of network based IT applications. The company also became a supplier to the international IT market of reseller channels.

Through the move, the company maintains its high quality of service for their customers including immediate response to pre- and post-sale technical assistance needs of its customers in both the local and international markets.
