Description: ASRock Inc. was established in 2002 in Taiwan as a subsidiary of ASUS. The company was initially involved in the production of economical OEM solutions that had been developed from chipsets that were outdated. The resultant products of ASRock were competitively priced and were well-received in the market. ASRock Inc. went public in 2007 in the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
At present, the company maintains offices in Taiwan and has opened other branches across other countries in an effort to establish an international market hold. The said branches are located in the United States and Europe. The company’s four main divisions include the Administration Department, Research and Development Division, Manufacturing Division and Sales and Marketing Division. The current chairman of ASRock Inc. is Ted Hsu and Sterling Wu acts as the operating president.
It was in 2006 that ASRock Inc. introduced to the market a number of motherboards which had the logos of Windows Vista. They were the first kind. In October of the same year, the company released the ConRoeXFire-eSATA2 motherboard which had been based on the 945P+ICH7R. The embedded motherboards 775i945GZ and ConRoe945G-DVI were released around the same time as well. This was followed by the release of the ALiveNF6G-DVI AM2 and the AM2NF6G-VSTA motherboards a month later.
The most recent products and technologies being developed by ASRock Inc. seem to cater to the manufacturers of high-end motherboards. The Uli Chipset enables the placement of both the PCI-E and AGP ports on the same board aside from the SATA2. It also utilized in upgrading computers with new chips. Moreover, a Future-Port has also been added so that AM2 components may be installed.
Access Points and WiFi have also been added by ASRock Inc. in the manufacture of certain motherboards such as the 4Core1600P35-WiFi+. A number of selected motherboards are packaged with durable solid capacitors as well.
Motherboards such as the K10N78FullHD-hSLI R3.0 are capable of supporting the technology nVidia Hybrid SLI. The 45nm boards also have the capability of supporting the latest Intel and AMD processors, fabrication technology and chipsets.
The products of ASRock are exported across several regions in Asia and Africa, the United States, and many other countries. There are authorized distributors that operate in various locations. Distributors in the U.S. include Malabs, Lasertech and PC Direct. Those that are located in Canada include Link Computer Canada, Eprom Computer, ELCO Systems and Supercom. The distributors in Latin America are Topdek Computer, Intcomex and Informatica.
