Averatec has headquarters in the United States, particularly in Orange County, California. It is active not just in the United States but also in the international market and included, Taiwan, North America, Europe and South Korea. By 2008, the company had become a brand label of TriGem, a Korean IT company.
The Averatec laptop models come in a variety of display sizes from the 17-inch laptops to those as small as 10.6 inches notebooks. The company offers several choices when it comes to performance and functions with a wide range of processors including AMD Turion 64, Intel Centrino, AMD Sempron, Centrino and AMD Athlon XP-M. Majority of the system boards are manufactured by the big manufacturers in the countries of China and Korea.
Most of the laptops of Averatec are being rebranded for other companies involved in the IT business. The 1000/1500 laptop series models have been rebranded as Twinhead F11Y and F10. The 2100 series of Averatec have also been rebranded as Microstart International 1013.
By 2006, the company had launched its new product and was released as Voya 350 which is a portable GPS unit. The following year, the company launched the Averatec 2301 and 1579 laptop model series. The said products were already loaded with Windows Vista and most of them are being sold across North America.
Among the latest products of the company is the Averatec 2574 Notebook. It is a laptop that is described to be high-performing and works with the Windows Vista. The Averatec product has a 12.1” LCD monitor and an AMD Dual Core X2. It also includes a 2GB DDR2 and a 250GB storage space.
The Averatec 2574 Notebook comes with a WLAN for accessing the Internet and a 1.3 megapixel web camera. The said product retails for approximately US$1000.
Other than notebooks and laptops, Averatec also provides several computer accessories and peripherals including adapters, batteries, mouse, hubs, recovery media, webcams and other accessories intended for laptops and GPS. The company also provides a variety of laptop storage solutions such as backpacks and notebooks cases. The company is also involved in the manufacture and sales of desktop computers.
