In 2001, the company established its first wholly-owned subsidiary company known as Famous 3D. The company is regarded as one of the leading providers of animation software that are typically utilized in computer games, communications and broadcast markets.
In 2004, the company made investments with PIXe, Blaze’s second wholly-owned subsidiary. The company is engaged in pre-compression filter that is capable of supporting movie images distribution. PIXe is valuable for animations that are produced using environments with low bandwidth.
Blaze also entered into a development agreement in 2002 with the Japanese firm OKI Electronic Industry which undertaking was succeeded by a licensing agreement a year thereafter.
The main product line of Blaze is to provide innovative and unique communication solutions that are capable of sustaining interactive and streamed facial animations. The company faces stiff competition from other animation software providers and developers such as Hotgames.com, Unisys Australia Ltd., Guildford Investments Limited, Software Craft Pty Ltd. and TPP Domains Pty Ltd.
The company’s products are marketed on the domestic and international telecommunication providers particularly those located in Japan. It is also a known provider of different software, multimedia and computer game titles for some of the major computer companies that include Microsoft Corp. and Electronic Arts.
In keeping with the company’s vision to be the forefront in animation technology, the company had an agreement with Melbourne House, a computer games publishing firm. Melbourne House is recognized for developing the world’s first WYSIWYG Web page design tools called “Splash!”. Melbourne House is also credited for developing Hotgames.com that is regarded as one of the most popular computer games community portal in the world.
In April of 2007, Blaze acquired Yeelirrie Minerals Pty Ltd. to extend its activities to exploration activities of uranium mineral property.
