Description: BSQUARE, a publicly traded company, was established by William Baxter in 1994. The company became a publicly traded company on October 1999. Its principal headquarters is located in Bellevue, Washington.

On January 6, 2000, BSQUARE took control of the BlueWater Systems, Inc, a company regarded as one of the leaders in providing system integration services and software development toolkits. The company’s development services were designed to serve MS Windows–based devices. The take over, also allowed BSQUARE to have the important support necessary for the company’s expansion program on strategies of offering software applications. The support was designed for devices on platforms aside from the MS Windows OS.

On May 10, 2000, BSQUARE Mainbrace Corporation, a California firm, entered a merger agreement with Mainbrace Acquisition, Inc. with the former becoming the surviving company. The Washington-based Mainbrace Acquisition, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BSQUARE.

Then on March 11, 2002, BSQUARE took control over the privately-owned company InfoGation Corporation to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of BSQUARE. With the acquisition, the company was able to acquire InfoGation’s product line consisting of integration services, real-time content delivery as well as navigation and communication applications.

From its inception, the company has been establishing strategic and long-term alliances with some of the leaders in the industry especially in the area of smart device development. The company also entered into partnership agreements with major silicon providers such as the Microsoft Windows® Mobile and Windows® Embedded groups. BSQUARE’s affiliation with the mentioned companies allowed it to become an intermediary for the companies and new customers.

A collaborative environment was then established by the companies that allowed the solving of technical issues sans disclosure of copyrighted software and source code.
BSQUARE is a provider for a wide range of systems solutions. The company targets to speed up the development, distribution and management of a new generation of smart devices and applications. IT engineering and software programming services are likewise offered by the company to those engaged in the development of MS Windows –based devices.

BSQUARE’s product and service lines also include Wireless Solutions, Custom Engineering Services and Device Development Solutions. To date, the company has been reported to possess the widest collection of trained Windows® CE engineers that are employed outside of Microsoft. The company also has affiliations with Microsoft Gold Level, Intel Communications Alliance, Intel Storage Community and the US-based Texas Instruments OMAP Technology Center.

The company’s activities also include the design and manufacture of software and hardware in all stages of development of the customer’s device. With the company’s technologies, the company is able to enhance its products’ designs.
