Its products are developed to automate multiple volumes of documents, forms and transactions. This is made possible with its annual conversion into database contents that can be used and integrated into systems for Information Management.

Manufacturers, financial services, outsourcing businesses, the government and insurance companies are prime beneficiaries of Captiva’s technology. The company’s processes and transforms paper, fax, electronics forms and transactions into more useful and accurate data for corporate applications.

Captiva’s products are deployed in the knowledge management systems of large organizations. The company’s technology is also integrated in Document Management workflow of IBM, OpenText and Microsoft. The technology of Document Capture allows data to be transformed into a context that can be directly used by business applications, allowing the information to be processed readily.

Under EMC management, the technology is released as EMC Captiva Family Solutions. The product line is geared in the content management integration of enterprise applications, including those on legacy systems.
