(CCRI), an electronic recycling company, was established in January 2002 by Linda McFarland, a woman with more than two decades of experience in the computer industry. A company dominated by women, the management of the company’s affairs is led by its founder Linda McFarland as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company is principally located at the Midwest region of the United States.

The company has a three-fold mission. First mission is to absorb old electronic devices in order that it would not be disposed on landfills. The company’s second mission is to teach economical means to recycle objects and provide information how to get something of value from old equipments. Last mission is to become a model in employing novel standards in electronic recycling.

CCRI was established at a time when the economy was demonstrating symptoms of decline and could not keep pace with the rapidly developing technological advances. The company then believed that nothing can be gained when usable remains of obsolete computer equipments are disposed of and liquidated. Thus, the company designed and implemented various ways to recover remains of electronic equipments without throwing them for their disposal.

Through the company’s recovery efforts, the company firmly believes that various institutions such as governmental agencies, schools and corporations would be enlighten as to what being pro-active can do with respect to recycling electronic equipments. The company believes that instead of disposing these equipments, the company should refurbish and remarket them to get something of value from the equipments.

CCRI actively participates with local communities in helping educate the community’s constituents including small business entrepreneurs as to the significant contributions of recycling products. These communities most often hold a one to two days collection program to encourage the members of the community to recycle.

As an electronic recycling company, CCRI purchases various old hardware components such as computers, monitors, networking equipments, telephone, fax, media tapes and copier systems.

Classic Computer Recovery, Inc. meticulously studied the Environmental Protection Agency laws as well as the developing market for electronic leftovers of computer devices.
