Description: The PALIT Group company Gainward was founded in 1984. It is among the best sellers and manufacturers of VGA cards in Europe, Asia and America. The activities of Gainward primarily focus on the wholesale distribution and trade of various computer peripheral products specifically graphics cards. While the company is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, it also has sales offices located in Russia, China, Italy and the United Kingdom.
Gainward has established manufacturing facilities in Wugu, Taipei, Taiwan and Shenzhen, China. The key executives of Gainward include Thomson Lee who is currently the chairman of the board and J. Lu, director of sales.
It was in 1989 that Gainward began developing products that use the VGA technology. The company also became a premier developer of products for the Taipei’s Tseng Labs ASIC. In 1991, Gainward Technology was established in the United States and this became the North American branch of the company. A year later, Gainward was among the top 1000 industrial companies of Taiwan.
The Gainward and TNC Industrial Co. Ltd merger was completed in 1997 and the company became a major graphics card supplier shipping approximately two million boards in the same year.
Three years later, the company began its operations in Europe through the establishment of Gainward Europe which is located in Germany. A year after that, Gainward established a strategic partnership with NVIDIA and became its Launch Partner and Certified Selection Solution Provider.
2005 saw the completion of the Palit Microsystems, Inc and Gainward merger. The said merger ensured products that have better quality and an accessibility of a higher level for the clients of the company. The company had also launched its new image and a new logo was launched as well a year after the merger with Palit.
Gainward established another strategic partnership with an IT company, this time it was with Advanced Micro Devices or AMD. Because of the company’s customer-oriented service and high-quality products, Gainward became a recipient of a number of awards given by a variety of award-giving bodies.

At present, the company offers five diverse ranges of Gainward products including ATI-range, Enthusiast-range, Desktop-range, Performance-range, and Value-range. The five Gaiward product ranges of the company are referred to as the Golden Sample. These graphics cards have been tested for their stock speeds before they are sold to the market in order to guarantee their quality to the consumers.
