Description: Harmonic Data Systems Limited (HDS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Harmonic Incorporated was established in 1995. Its parent company was established in 1988 at Sunnyvale, California under the name Harmonic Lightwaves.

HDS was previously known as New Media Communication and tasked to provide fast data-over-broadband solutions to its clients. The company was initially developed in partnership with IBM.

Harmonic Data Systems Limited also has software products to offer and even includes a software application that creates offline digital content as well on-demand video. The company’s Digital Service Manager, on the other hand, is a helpful tool for managing video networks.
