Hightech Information System Limited (HIS) is most remembered for its video card product known as ATI Radeon. The company’s ATI graphic solutions had garnered almost 600 recognitions from a number of major publishers throughout the world. Other award winning products of the company are the IceQ, iCooler and iFan, VIVO Edition, AIW Edition, Dual DVI Edition and the TURBO Edition

The company did not limit its products to the popular ATI Radeon graphic cards but instead expanded its product line with the addition of the Radeon R700 in its product portfolio.

One interesting feature of the company’s products is its capability to be protected against any overheating. This capability is made possible through the company’s innovative IceQ cooling system, a product that is made up of heat pipes wrapped around the MEM, GPU and power modules. This product is currently undergoing further development and the latest released version is the fourth generation IceQ called HIS IceQ4.

The company takes pride of this latest generation of the product because of its capability to dissipate and distribute heat coming from the graphic card’s GPU. With a reduced GPU temperature, the IceQ 4 is made to perform at its optimum level. The reduction in temperature is made possible through the process of IceQ 4 sucking air into the graphic card.

As a result, a cooling down effect on the memory and the GPU is made possible. From there, the hot air that has been sucked is then dissipated via the heatsink. The technology not only reduces overheating but also allows the CPU to operate more silently since there is a resultant reduction of fan speed.

For the year 2008 alone, the company had released a number of products under the company’s 4800 series. The products released offer a wide range of memory capacity, resolutions and graphics library support. Products released or to be released for this year are the HD4850, HD4850 IceQ 4, HD4850 IceQ 4 Turbo, HD4850 IceQ 4 TurboX, HD4870, HD4870 Turbo and HD4870 Turbo X2. Memory range of the products released is from 512 Mb to 2048 Mb.
