Description: IXLA Limited is a software company based in Melbourne, Australia. It also has branches in other countries like USA, Japan, and Denmark. IXLA’s chief executive officer is Dr. Soon Teh. With him are Brian Dunkley, Terry Power, and Anthony Ravlinson.

The company IXLA entered only one partnership agreement. This was with Enterprise Corporation International. The aim of this partnership was to design, as well as develop the CD-Recordable or mostly called CD-R.

The company’s venture on data storage devices was not short-lived because its primary activities mostly involved digital imaging software. They conduct the research and development of different programs used for digital imaging. IXLA is even regarded as among the top companies in digital photography.

Perhaps the first most successful IXLA product is the IXLA Digital Camera Suite. This was recognized and awarded the Photo Marketing Association’s 1998 Digital Product Imaging Award.

In 1999, IXLA released the IXLA Photo Easy Deluxe. This software is used for Macintosh and it can be used for capturing, making, and publishing digital photos through the Internet.

Iomega Corporation noticed the edge of IXLA products and was amazed by them. So in 1999, Iomega and IXLA entered a licensing agreement where Iomega Internet Tool Box will use IXLA’s Web Easy application.

Another achievement was added in the IXLA list for its Explorer product. This won the award PC Photo Editor’s Choice. Aside from this, there are also the ixla Web Easy ™, ixla Photo ™, ixla Photo Scanner Suite ™, ixla Digital Camera Interface ™, and ixla Artist ™.

IXLA likewise introduced a software called Web Easy especially for web publishing. This application allowed users to create, design, and issue websites through the Internet. This permitted common people to create their own websites without the need of studying web programming.

After the success of the Web Easy, came the release of Web Easy Millennium 3.0. This new IXLA application is often referred to as the do-it-yourself application for web design.

Just like its predecessor, this application allows users to create websites without the need to study web programming. But the Millennium version offers more. Web Easy Millennium 3.0 permits creation of interactive objects, audio elements, video elements, and 3D designs for a website.

However, IXLA products like the Media Easy and Web Easy were acquired by V Communications in 2002. Intel and Eastman Kodak also included the Web Easy in their latest Kodak Picture CD version.
