Description: In 1992, the company Kanguru Solutions was founded; it was then known as an Interactive Media Corporation division. The company manufactures and distributes high-end computers and their main office is based in Holliston, Massachusetts. Meanwhile, their production plant can be found in Millis, Massachusetts.

The company is an expert in manufacturing and designing USB-based flash drives, external hard disk drives (HDD), MP3 players and CD and DVD duplicators.

Kanguru Solutions started distributing its products in small computer retail stores. The external storage devices that are used in PCs in 1993 was developed and designed by George Morser and Donald Brown who are the co-founders of the company. The company has also earned the name KanguruDisks for its product line because of the said development.

The first product that was launched by the company in 1993 is the 20 Mb hard drives that belong under removable and external storage solutions. This product was considered to be the biggest storage media that time in terms of size. The floppy disk is nothing when compared to it. Through this product, clients are offered centralized data backup storage solution.

With the constant developments in the company’s external storage devices, the company’s KanguruDisk product collection is able to transfer data at a speed of 1.5 Gb per minute. Also, the product can establish internal connection with a computer via IDE connection or utilizing 4 different interfaces.

Since the KanguruDisk product line has been doing well, the company thought of extending its operations so that it can provide different PC devices and accessories. These include multi-interface externals HDDs, PCMCIA/Card or Bus, Firewire connection and USB. The multi-interface externals HDDs can be connected to the computer via Parallel ports.

The company was likewise able to lead the manufacturing of CD/DVD duplicators. It is an external peripheral that is able to copy CD or DVD contents. The product is able to copy DVD contents in 7 minutes and CD contents in 4 minutes.

During the fall of 2008, Kanguru Solutions was able to launch the eSATA Flash Drive. These products provide speed and functionality to SATA-enabled storage peripherals that has dual connectivity.

The company also created a program that enables users to manage USB flash drives that are connected to different computer systems. The program is known as Kanguru Remote Management Console (KRMC). The program allows the user to control flash drives remotely with in a local area network. It provides the user with administrative privileges where in username and password can be assigned to the flash drive connected to the network as well.
