Description: Nissei Sangyo Co., Ltd, specializes in distributing state-of-the-art electronic industrial components and materials. It was established in April 1947 as a trading company for the Japanese Hitachi group. As such, the Hitachi group has maintained majority shareholder status by owning 58% of the shares of the company. The company registered its stocks at the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange. At this point, Hitachi Instruments Service Co. Ltd, Nissei Electronics,Ltd, Nissei Mecs Corporation and Nissei Engineering Inc. were added as significant majority-owned subsidiaries of the company.

In 2001, the Hitachi group streamlined its subsidiaries by merging its instruments and semiconductor manufacturing equipment group to form the Nissei Sangyo Co., Ltd. The newly formed company retained control of the sales and distribution process of the two groups. Nissei Sangyo Co., Ltd’s environmental management system also earned an ISO14001 certification in August of the same year.

In 2002, Nissei Sangyo Co., Ltd created a three-year fiscal plan that recognized and dealt with the challenges of the increasing number of competitors and the arrival of new technology. The company resolved to develop its opto-electronics, IC solutions and card business. It also refocused on the newly integrated group and the backbone of the company’s business. Following their August 2001 ISO14001 certification, Nissei Sangyo Co., Ltd continued to promote their environment-friendly operations in their management offices and domestic branches.
