Description: PC Wave, Inc, founded in 2001, is a US based computer parts and supplies business. The company is one of several enterprises under the PC Chips Group. The Taiwan-based PC Chips Group owns about 21 companies located in 10 different countries. Other companies in the group include 3D Microcomputers, Zoltrix International Ltd, Wanchai, PC Ware International, IPC Personal Computers, Bondwell Computers Fiji Ltd, Houston Technologies, Protac International and Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS).

The PC Chips Group is the biggest business group that independently produces motherboards for computers. Its main retail arm is via the Protac International distributorship in UK. Its share in the global market sales is approximately 10%. The PC Chips Group also has the production capability to manufacture more than a million units of a single part per month.

The company is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) business venture. The company hires around 10 to 20 employees and it has an annual estimated income that ranges from 1 to 5 million US dollars. Its products include motherboards, laptops, modems, graphic boards, PC monitors, cases, CD-ROM and DVD drives, power supplies and other computer peripheral parts. Its manufactured products are sold online and to computer assembly businesses.

In May 2003, PC Wave, Inc produced the EZ-Watcher computer technology for monitoring hardware. This was one of the company’s most commended products. It allowed the user to monitor and maximize power consumption in relation to the processor performance. An LED management window allowed the user to keep tabs on the motherboard, hard drive, CD/DVD drives and system memory. Warning lights appeared in the window when any problems were detected. PC Wave, Inc’s first product with the EZ-Watcher technology was the system platform PC Chips EZW-3060. The new technology earned good reviews from consumers.

PC Wave, Inc was also included in the PC Chips Group’s OEM alliance with the Corel Corporation. The deal agreed to bundle the Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 software with every motherboard package that was sold by the PC Chips Groups companies.

PC Wave, Inc, being a relatively small OEM business enterprise, does not provide its consumers with any additional end-user support service. It only provides driver updates and BIOS.
