Description: The Qbex Electronics Corporation, Inc. was officially started in 1998 by its president Jorge E. Alfonso. He still heads the company’s management team along with Jorge L. Alfonso and Pilar Alfonso as Vice Presidents. The company was put up to manufacture various personal computer systems and peripherals. Located in Miami, Florida, the company offers support to the operation of its affiliate companies in Latin America, which also serves as its main market.

The company reports an estimated annual sale of $21.7 million from its various products lines. It has an assembly plant and subsidiary in Colombia where the manufacturing process takes place. Orders are then dispatched to the nine other countries where the company distributes its products. There are 8 service centers in South and Central America, not including the 17 others in Colombia alone. The main product line of Qbex is divided into Desktop, Notebook, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), Digital Cameras, Printers, and Computer Software. Its desktop products are represented by the Milano series which are further classified into Basic, Advanced, Performance, and Business Workstation categories. The Notebook products use the Daytona series while it markets the Sedna series for its UPS products. Digital cameras and printers are purely Canon brands. Trident 5.0 is the only software product that is currently in its distribution line.

The company has successfully sustained its growth and today boasts of achieving ISO 9001-2000 certification along with FCC and LFS Microsoft certification. The continuous support from Microsoft and Intel allows the company to create technically competent teams with its expertise acknowledged by a majority of equipment manufacturers in the IT industry.

These affiliates represent the company in terms of sales, training, and promotion within their locality.
