Description: Quick-Serv is a Taiwan-based Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) of hardware peripherals for Macintosh and mobile PCs. The company began in 1996 and pioneered the production of quality CD-ROM drives, CD-RW/Combo Drives and enclosures, and HDD (hard disk drives).
The company is based in Taiwan, yet markets their business to the rest of Asia, as well as the USA. They are known producers of add-in hardware peripherals for basic PCs and Apple's Macintosh units, especially in China, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and Europe. The current manager of the Taiwan branch of Quick-Serv is Sam Lu.
The company produces high-end data storage devices and interfaces for use in large companies that requires high-speed data access and data backup, connectivity, device compatibility, and information accuracy.
The main focus of Quick-Serv is the design and development of data encryption products, USB 2.0 compatible hardware, IEEE-1394, and Serial-ATA (SATA) accessories.
Quick-Serv first started out in the design and production of HDD enclosures 2, 4, and 6. These hardware devices have the capability to hold multiple HDDs in a single computer system that provides high-speed access and quick interface in the use of a computer system or a workstation in a close-group network (LAN).
A recent development for their HDD bay enclosure product is the inclusion of Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) that employ the simultaneous use of two or more disk drives with a higher level performance, data transfer accuracy, and can hold large amount of data volumes without the possibility of data loss.
Their latest HDD RAID bay enclosures are the HS-210US, HS-215US, and HS-216US; all of which supports SATA, USB2.0 hosts, RAID functionality, up to 3Gbps data transfer, plug and play (PnP), and is compatible with both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X platforms.
Other products produced by Quick-Serv are LAN Disks. LAN disk is an external mainframe of storage device that supports USB Serve of 10/100Mbase-Tx Ethernet connection, as well as the inclusion of DHCP support for automatic IP detection and configuration. Each LAN Disk can accommodate up to 2Tb of storage that is perfect for audio/video files and multiple workstation terminal backups.
