Description: Founded in 1993 and currently holding its headquarters in Canada, Sierra Wireless is a public company being headed by Charles Levine and Jason Cohenour. The former serves as the Chairman of the Board and the latter as CEO. The company specializes in the delivery of communication-based equipment sold by other partner companies such as Cingular Wireless and Verizon Wireless.

Although the company has various software solutions and other mobile solutions and services, its current major product line is the Sierra Wireless AirCard, providing various laptops, notebooks, and other mobile devices wireless wide area network access through various technologies such as WiFi, 3G, and HSDPA through access to the edge networks.

The company presently belongs to the top 10 companies in Canada and has an estimated growth rate of 51% per year. Its outstanding total shares number to 31,402,585 and the return of equity rate is 12.5.

Recently, it has enjoyed a large share of PC express cards that focus on Internet connectivity especially in old computers which have not been equipped with WiFi or even new computers that are not equipped with current mobile data transfer solutions that have been developed specifically for mobile phones such as 3G and access to edge networks.
