SOYO began its operations in 1985. It has four key individuals: Tung Chok Ming serves as President, CEO, and Director. The Prive HD-ready LCD TV product range offers LCD TV sets that are capable of being mounted on walls and are equipped with built in speakers that provide simulated surround sound. Le Vello Design Furniture on the other hand offers elegant and sophisticated furniture to support high-value electronics such as LCD TV sets.

SOYO also provides portable hard drives. These storage devices connect to the USB port, with capacities of 20GB to 160GB. The hard drives are bus-powered, and contain a shock-proof casing.

The SecuraDrive, which ranges from 80GB to 160GB, is password enabled for protection.

While SOYO started as manufacturing motherboards only, it later moved on to also developing computer and LCD accessories in 2005. It produced these at lower costs compared to others.
