He had held senior positions in companies like Ford Motor Company, Burroughs, NCR and General Instruments before being inspired and forming Tele Video Inc. Dr. Hwang has more than 25 years of experience and is responsible for the efficient operations of the company. He directly oversees the departments of research and development, sales, marketing, finance and investment.
Tele Video is a public company. It specializes in developing and manufacturing of Windows based network terminals. It is a leading supplier of video display terminals. The pioneering of a complete set of new ‘smart’ computer terminals which is based on the microprocessor of Intel is one of the achievements that make Tele Video proud.
Other achievements of the company include the production of 2D and 3D graphic accelerators, multimedia upgrade kits and 3D sound cards. The capitalization of the new trends in the multimedia industry drew great profits for the company. In 1996 they launched video display products and have successfully captured the market in the same. In 1996 they went on to launch larger display monitors in the range of 15”, 17”, 19” and 21”. These monitors were unique in that they provided higher resolutions and better performance setting new standards for CRT monitors.
Tele Video, known for the Smart terminals at the time of the usual terminals, has come a long way since then. The company is currently focusing on its client’s demand for thin technology and is delivering network and Window-based computer terminals for the client. The company’s knowledge, expertise and reputation on the products already launched like CRT display monitors, terminals, add-in board products gives it an added advantage which is necessary for capitalization on the emerging technology.
Tele Video has a very capable person leading it from the front. Dr. Hwang who is responsible for the functioning of the company hold BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the state of Utah and Wayne State Universities respectively. He has also been conferred upon with an honorary doctorate degree from Utah State University. He holds membership of the High Resolution Information Systems Advisory Board.
