The company designs hardware, implements firmware and programs drivers for a number of operating systems. VS can work with a number of platforms such as Linux, Unix and Windows.

VS also develops operating systems for use in different industries such as automation, networking, transportation and telecom. The data communication systems by VS allow clients to transfer and manage data. These systems may use wireless and Ethernet cable connections, as well as USB and multiport serials.

The data communication products from VS fall into seven categories. These devices are Network to Serial, USB to Serial, PCI/ISA to Serial, Embedded RISC, CAN, RS485/RS422 to RS232 and cables and boxes. Industrial PC product categories are embedded systems, System on Module, CPU boards, data acquisition, PC 104 module, chassis backplanes and power supplies, panels and LC displays, flash IPC systems and other accessories.

The solutions offered by the company are both for data communication and industrial PC systems. The data communication solutions are targeted towards networks. This includes replacing serial networks with free programmable VS-OpenNetCom Line Printer support. The Printserver and Line printer daemon protocol, and the OpenVPN secure tunnel may also be availed of by clients. Other industrial PC solutions provided by Vision System include car embedded personal computers for GPS and GPRS communications and network firewalls.
