Description: XAVi Technologies Corporation is one of the leading broadband product suppliers in the world. This company from Taiwan creates links between users and service providers using copper or optical fiber wires. Its services range from Internet access to telecommuting and broadband transmissions.

XAVi established its Hsin-Chu Research and Development Center at ITRI in 1998, aiming to develop products more efficient for its customers.

In that same year, XAVi immediately immersed itself into the network industry by producing large quantities of the company’s SDSL 1168 series. The following year, XAVi launched its SDSL DSU and ADSL Bridge Router.

XAVi introduced new products in the year 2000, almost simultaneously releasing its SHDSL/HDSL2 ATM Bridge Router, its IAD on top of the G.SHDSL and ADSL, and its ADSL Multi-mode/Multi-access CPE. XAVi also received its first mass delivery order of ADSL modems to Hong Kong Telecom that same year.

The company released more products the following year. XAVi introduced the IP-based VDSL, ADSL Wireless LAN Access Gateway WAG, and VoIP IAD over ADSL and SHDSL to the market. This step proved that the company’s promise of bringing more reliable data communication equipment to its customers is more than just words.

In 2003, XAVi successfully created its VoIP IAD model fused with ADSL and SHDAL functions. It also launched the Gateway with a VPN function and some MTU products.

It was also in 2003 when XAVi Technologies Corporation merged with the Chicony Business Group, a company popular for manufacturing and marketing input devices, specifically keyboards and power supplies.

The following year, it established Wu-Jiang, a new plantation in Suzhou China. XAVi also released the Digital Home Application, combining a Wireless Gateway and a Set-Top Box at CeBit Hanover. In 2005, XAVi introduced its new product, the Wireless Networking Xwave Series, at the 2005 CeBit in Hanover. XAVi also officially released their Home Plug product XP Series that same year.

XAVi’s eight product families are the VDSL, VolP IAD, ADSL, SHDSL, Wireless-XW Series, Set-Top Box, Gateway-XG Series, and the Home Plug-XP Series.

XAVi Technologies Corporation combines various DSL technologies with many user interfaces for different applications, making its products among the first choices in broadband solutions.
