The company’s products are available through a number of channels. Zynet is both an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) company. It manufactures primarily accessories for computer storage devices. Other companies can use the products to assemble computer systems. The products can be sold to end-consumers via wholesalers, chain stores, retailers and value added resellers. Zynet may distribute its products from other sellers or from its own.

The main products that are being distributed by Zynet are external enclosures for hard drives, card readers, flash memory devices, multimedia tools and other accessories. The products are mostly geared towards portable and external computer memory. While the company does not manufacture actual portable hard drives, it provides enclosures so that any hard drive can be plugged into the system externally. Card readers and SD card devices are used both to store and read stored memory.

Zynet’s newest products are in the Multimedia field. One is the OT-G5-UTV device. This allows multimedia files (in MP3, MPEG1, MPEG4 and JPEG format) to be played on television. It can also read memory cards to transfer multimedia files without the need to connect to a computer.

Zynet is now concentrating in the improvement and expansion of its products to ensure keep pace in a competitive market. It has a creative and efficient RD team with extensive advertising scheme. It continues to establish its kernel techniques in the rapid developing industry of data storage.

Zynet’s current offices are located in San Chug City. The change of this location was made in July 2002 for business expansion. There are currently 70 full-time employees working at the company. The revolving capital used by the company is 2.4 million US dollars. The yearly sales for the company are about 21 million US dollars. The revenue of the company mostly comes from exporting products. About 80% comes from foreign sales with only 20% coming from profit made in Taiwan. The company distributes to several markets divided by geography. These are the North and South Americas, West and East Europe, East and Southeast Asia, Mid-East and Africa, Australia and New Zealand and China and Hong Kong.
